Seniors

Annual NSW Seniors Festival

The NSW Seniors Festival was held from 25 March - 3 April 2022 and it is the largest annual festival for seniors in the Southern Hemisphere, reaching up to 500,000 seniors each year. If you are over 60, NSW Seniors Festival gives you the chance to make new friends or get together with old ones at an array of local community events, many of which are free or heavily discounted.

In 2022, City of Newcastle hosted the Comedy Gala and Mini Expo in Newcastle's iconic City Hall, and also undertook Seniors engagement activities at Jesmond Central and Wallsend Village shopping centres. These events were well supported and were only possible via the assistance of the services delivering supports to Seniors across Newcastle who also partipated in the days. Look out for the 2023 program to get involved.
