Jefferson Park sits between Frederick Street and Henderson Parade Merewether, providing extensive views of the coastline. Due to the exposure of the site, tree planting remains a challenge and shade is identified as one of the key elements missing from the beach reserves. We will be undertaking minor works to the park during 2022.
Stage 1 - Tree Planting
Stage 1 focuses on the planting of 6 trees along the edge of Henderson Parade. The species of tree chosen will fit (at maturity) within the available space and is suited to local soil and climate conditions. The tree planting is expected to take place in late April to early May.

Stage 2 - Concept Plan
Stage 2 is the development of a Concept Plan that will focus on further minor improvements to the park. Community engagement on the concept plan is scheduled to commence mid 2022.
