Public Voice and Public Briefings

Public Voice

Public Voice sessions provide an opportunity for members of the public to make presentations to Council on:

  • significant issues relevant to CN’s functions, facilities or services under the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW); or
  • Development Applications (DAs) that are to be determined by CN’s Development Applications Committee at a future meeting

Public Briefing

Public Briefing sessions provide an opportunity for members of the public to make short presentations relating to significant issues of a general, strategic or policy nature, including in relation to planning proposals relevant to CN's functions, facilities or services.

Note: The Council does not make decisions at a Public Voice or Public Briefing session. The sessions are an opportunity for discussion only.

How to apply?

You will need to complete the Public Voice and Public Briefing Application Form indicating what you wish to speak about. We encourage you to review the Public Voice and Public Briefings Policy first which provides in further detail the procedure for applying, assessment criteria and alternative options available to you.
