Swimming Centres

We operate Beresfield Pool. Other pools in the Newcastle area are Lambton, Mayfield, Stockton and Wallsend and these are run by Lane4 Aquactics.

Personal Training and Learn to Surf Licencing

Personal fitness trainers wanting to conduct outdoor fitness classes at Newcastle beaches, parks and reservess are required to apply for a licence.

Skate Parks and Tennis Courts

Newcastle offers 10 skate parks and a number of tennis courts throughout the Local Government Area.

Beresfield Golf Course

Beresfield Golf Course is an 11 hole, well maintained public golf course. An 18 hole game is available by playing the first 7 holes again.

Water safety is for everyone and applies to beaches, pools and open bodies of water such as rivers, lakes and dams. We have a range of education programs and water safety games.
